Relief pitcher Kyle McClellan took part in a very special ceremonial first pitch prior to Thursday’s game against the Phillies. The reason: It was thrown by his dad! Kyle’s father, Terry, was representing the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association (SLABA) — which has featured future big leaguers Max Scherzer, Ryan Howard, David Freese and McClellan.
